The propguard resin reminds me of the hqprop duct material and that was enough for me to buy one. Hopefully I don't have to build another micro cinewhoop ever.
90 degree 25x25 on the top plate seemed odd but worked out well. FC mounted to the top, vista to the bottom. Figured I'd try out the motor and prop they sell their BnF with. This is build number 3 for the HAKRC 40A F7 and it seems to be chooching along just fine from 3 to 6S so far. Polar Nano is meh, but I had to try it out, and this will probably do some night flying. I designed carbon nylon camera mount because stock TPU was jello, and a TPU tail enclosing the RX and better suited to the matchstick girth. Finally caved and started using the tiny action cam mount. Now to fly the thing...

How are you liking the kv for the motors?

jdmkramer   Jun 02, 2022

I probably should have gone with the higher kv honestly. i use 3s 1100 hv and 4s 850, and both seem to have me flying higher on the throttle stick than i expected. Also need to check my tune.

I have the same frame and fly the "Gemfan D63 Ducted Durable 5 Blade Prop CineWhoop Propeller". The throttle stick is less than half, good power, and the sound is just a bomb! Try five blades - it's perfect.

Can you share the camera mount that you designed? I'm getting weird vibration in the recording, but in the goggles feed is great.

I didn't. It's listed as 54g though.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
