I loved this quad. Sadly it's in the bottom of a lake now.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

i am sorry for your loss. truly is a/was beautiful machine. have you built another in her place? this quad, how well did you like how the motors flew?
I did build another very similar one, but sadly I crashed that one as well and one of the motors got burnt. It was actually incredible since I flew it after the crash on the same lake that I lost this one, and only noticed something was wrong because it was only flying with half the power. I only noticed the burnt motor after I landed, and was amazed that it flew at all with the melted and burnt coils. I guess it didn't want to go down in the lake like the first one.
I do plan on building another one, since I love the way this setup flies. It performs very similarly to a traditional ~600g AUW 5", with just a bit less power and fling, but with around 4m30-5min of intense flying and around 12 min of cruising using a 1100mAh 6S, since the quad only weighs around 220g and the AUW is around 420g with that pack. I'm using 4S motors with a 70-80% motor output limit, so maybe using proper 6S motors the performance could improve a bit.
But overall I am very satisfied with the performance. I am sold on lightweight quads and wouldn't change this for a traditional 5".
