This thing is great.

It's actually my third 5-inch, sub 250g build (after builds using the AOS 5 Lite V1 & V2 frames) but the first one I've got a chance to post here. I'm truly surprised with just how much fun these things are to fly and this Ummagawd 2Fiddy build is probably my favourite of the three.

I'd be lying if I said it flew "just like a 5 inch quad" but the experience isn't a million miles away! Fantastic power and responsiveness coupled with great flight time. Along with being sub 250g, it's also incredibly quiet which is great for times/places when you don't want to draw much attention to yourself.

With a GNB 4S 530mAh lipo and a Caddx Peanut or Naked GoPro (Hero 8) it comes at just under 250g and I still get around 4 minutes flight time with that setup (less if I'm doing massive punch-outs frequently).

The 2Fiddy frame is incredibly neat and tidy but I can't speak too much to the durability as I haven't had that many crashes. The thinness of the arms does concern me a bit. De-casing a Caddx Vista is easy as piss (especially compared to de-casing a GoPro which is, to me at least, like trying to defuse a bomb) and saves a significant amount of weight. I'd say the only downside to this build is the lack of a blackbox flight/data recorder in the F7 Mamba 35A AIO which makes tuning a little bit more arduous.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
