Hello fellow addicts, it's been less than a month since the last build but oh boy, here we go again :)
I have been getting into racing recently and I wanted to build myself a proper racer so I can join some of the local chapters and have some fun.
This time I began with a different idea than what came out but due to availability and urgency I had to restructure a bit. I ended up with this Mach R5 frame as a base
and a pretty standard 2207.5 1700kv motor with the idea of trying 6S this time. For the FC I chose the bigger version of the F722 MK2 Mamba with a 60A 128k 4 in 1 esc.
It's a stack I'm already familiar with and happy with so not much else in that choice. Im really glad this version also features a blackbox so I can finally get into that as well.
For the rest I just picked what I had lying around so - EP1 ELRS RX and a Run-Cam tx100 VTX as I don't really need much more for racing.
The camera is the same as my last build since I really enjoy the quality and light weight of the Ant lite.
Had its maiden flight today and overall I'm pretty happy with it. It's my first 5 inch and my first 6S so the shock was real in the beginning but luckily it's very controllable and I was able to calm down and tame it :)
It's early to talk about stats so I will add those in edits as I fly it more and tune it more but for now I am running a 1050mah 6S and it looks like I'll be hanging around the 3 - 5 min mark with it.
Hope you enjoy it, cheers!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
