I wanted a light digital 3.5" flyer... The final build is eventually not that light at 135gr dry. But with 3s 850mAh, 4s 700mAh or 450mAh, it's always under the magical number.
The frame is chunky... 4mm arms, 3mm the camera cage and lots of screws.
The FC is a 20x20 aio and not that light either. I initially wanted to use it for a micro explorer (see other build) but it was too wide. Second issue, I wanted a gps with compass but the scl sda pins were not available. I tried remapping, but did not work... you cannot remap these...
Long story short I bought that cheap 2Fiddy-ish frame and added the parts together.
I'm happy with the naked vista. It's really clean and light.
Flight wise, it's a soft flyer. These motors really need 4S to shine, despite the 3700kv. Some people say 1404 is too small for 3.5". I think it's actually the lower limit. But they fly forever. I easily get 6min out of an 850mAh. Happy days :)
Now soft flying does not mean it cannot flippy flop. Actually since it's somewhat chunky, the fling is nice and if you push the sticks it can fly. It's not an extreme flyer though. But it can survive good crashes :)
So for whom is this? Any one whom likes to try new tricks... I'm surprised to like it... still my next frame will be a 5" 2FIDDY :)
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
