So i need to start by admitting I did not build this one myself. I actually didnt do any of the work on it aside fron painting the 3d printed GoPro skull mount! I run a yourh club, and this is a product of their hard work and perseverance! Thanks to Kwadkidz for being such awesone humans! Check them out by clicking the link below! These kids range in age from 7 years old to 17!

Now for the details:
This is the chunky(THICC) Rotor Riot HD1 XR 7" frame. I chose this frame for the build because A) the kids wanted to build a 7" quad finally, although they werent set on a purpose for the build yet; B) as i stated already, this frameis THICC! and im positive it will take the beating thrown at it; C) it seemed like a simple frame with easily replaceable carbon, and the deadcat style just makes it look that much cooler IMO! There is plenty of space in thus frame for their analog build.
As for the "brains" for the operation, the kids dug up a SpeedyBee F7 AIO, which is a bit confusing by its label. The fc actually is not an AIO at all, im still confused by the name. It does have an integrated barometer, and bluetooth connection, which makes betaflight a breeze through the SpeedyBee app! I inew ahead of time this was going to be a 6s build, so i dug out a 4in1 JHEMCU 55a BL32 esc for them!
I have personally been wanting to see wht the Tmotor Pacer V3 motors can do, and i had a few 2505 1850kv (9 in total, so the kids dont have to hold back), so I told them we were gonna build a 6s 7"! Boom, in came some CLRacing led racewires! During one of the days we were working in the shop, we came across a roll of wire shroud and an idea came to be. we decided to wrap the front arms with the wire shroud for character. If anyone is curious, especially since were running white LED, the light does shine through, however, we found the idea to use a soldering iron to melt the shroud and created a "pocket" for light to really shine through!
Now im sure some of you have been dying to know control link and video right? Well we kept that simple! TBS simple, we had a TBS Crossfire 69 still in stock from the TeamBlacksheep donations, so in it went! 800+mW of analog video power, as well as the solid 900mHz connection of Crossfire! It fits so nicely right in the tail where the Vista/AirUnit normally would have been! Personally i think it was a great choice because it will be a great option wether the quad ends up as a bando basher or a mid range surfer! The 69 has plenty of flexibilty and power!
Now were not 100% finished just yet with the build, as you can probably tell from the pictures! No the iids arent just leaving the vtx antenna ziptied to the top plate, and no, the xt60 will not be hopelessly poking out the back! Im just waiting for the 3d prints that we chose to arrive from our printer! As soon as that happens i will be updating this build!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
