This is my budget analog 4S build.
I am FPV begginer and this is my 2nd build (first build was Tyro 119 following Bardwell's build playlist)
but the first one where I chose all the components myself.
Note: The frame, VTX and camera are purchase from a friend so I saved a few bucks compared to total amount in part section below.
The frame is Geprc Mark4. There is enough room to easily build in all the components.
FC+ESC Stack is Tmotor F411 lite. It is a newish product with budget price and it is flashed with BTF 4.3.1 FW.
It is F411 processor and because of that it has 2 UARTS + additional one, soft serial opens after uploading Tmotor file from their webpage into BTF.
But this is a basic build so a few UARTs are enough.
ESC is BLHeli S so I flashed it whit BlueJay FW, set up DSHOT 300, enabled Bidirectional DShot and enabled RPM filtering.
I mentioned that I am begginer so no tuning done yet and all PIDs are left on default, with values for Gyro update 3.20 kHz and 1.6kHz PID loop.
I am using 4S 1500mAh battery so for the motors I choose Tmotor Velox 2207 2450kv.
Reciver is FrSky R-XSR and I had a problem with Telemetry I couldn't resolve.
Reciver is bind but couldn't make Telemetry on my QX7 to work. I tried all the combinations of reciver FW and Rx-FC connections.
Fport FW, SBUS FW, SBUS, TX, Soft serial connection to FC but no success so I give up on Telemetry.
Note: In the future will upgrade reciver to ELRS and will flash my Taranis QX7 radio whit EdgeTX.
During maiden flight analog VTX setup test on range and penetration between trees were above my expetations.
The image quality is very good from Baby ratel camera, and Zeus VTX is a little beast.
Set it up on medium power, 200mW, and had very little interfirence flying behind the trees.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
