I always love mirco especially a fast and powerful one that can fly freestyle in a small area without disturbing the public
As a beginner a year ago due to lack of experience, i brought a a few 2" frame , thinking it will be easier to build n fly especially with props guard....but i was so wrong.
Building a micro anything below 3in is more difficult in my opinion, it will fly but to fly n tune well especially for freestyle is extremely difficult, power to weight ratio is very sensitive, and hard to tune due to small disc loading.
Brought this frame thinking with props guard will be good for beginner like me, build it a year ago with 1104 8700kv 2s but it dont fly well due to it weight at 80 plus grams, its too heavy for 2in props with small motor.Ended up i dont fly this quad much as i dont like the way it flew.
So now a year later....i updated this build with a bigger motor, 1204 6000kv and fly 3s and fit 2.3in props without the props guard instead of 2in with props guard. At the same time lose 10g after removed the props guard even with bigger motors.
Its still heavy for a micro but now with bigger motors, increase in props size and lose some weight...it fly much better now
forgotten to set vtx power....fly at 25mw
flight time almost 5mins with 650mah 3s
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
