Bought a runcam thumb pro and realized I didnt have a decent quad to mount it to. Been looking for an excuse to order an AOS frame so off to CNC drones I went. On assembly its hard not to notice that the carbon is thin in places. After assembly I was astounded to hear how high pitch of a sound I heard when knocking on the motor mounts with a knuckle. Sounds as ridgid as an Apex frame. Had 1404 4600kv motors laying around too so this was mostly recylced parts down to the 128k diatone 32 bit esc and f722 FC. ELRS and a Unify nano VTX / camera are new. The stack is tall but there is still enough room to do a toilet tank battery strap. I put foam from the armatan landing sticky tbone things they give with frames under the capacitor. Cut it down to ideal thickness and tied it down. Went Caddx ratel nano for the camera. The light weight elrs antenna mounts I used went around the posts eventually. Set up for 3 or 4s, I will have enough room weight wise for the thumb and a balance lead 5v converter + mount. Now I just have to get my 3d printer working again so I can print the mount I need for the runcam thumb. Started with the ELRX rx down low but moved it to top deck wiith vhb and and lost the ziptie. Finding older RX's I have used zip ties on behave oddly or dont completly work. Listing a newer FC in the below parts. section as I dont see the MK2 I have pictured anylonger. Diatone is on MK4 now. I found non silicone wires for the camera lead in a drawer gathering dust. Think I went buy motor plugs and mis ordered. The stiffer wires make for good camera lead but I had to change the pinout on the jst plug to match the camera. Dead short caused the smoke stopper to complain. Eventually traced it to the incorrect pinout on the camera. I'll add images of the runcam mounted and with battery on a scale once the balance lead converter gets here and I can print the mount for the camera. Suprisingly the mounting width on front m2 cap sccrews Mr. Rosser provides are wider than the stock TPU mount that came with the camera. Didnt see that coming.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
