Wanted to build an efficient, quiet, sub250 freestyle quadcopter that uses walksnail. I went with 4" biblades on 1404 3800kv motors, toothpick frame, aio 20a 32bit esc/fc, elrs, and avatar 1s. I'm getting 6-8 min with a 4s 450mah battery. Betaflight 4.4 was an easy tune with just increasing P:D via osd menu and then increasing feadforward till it felt good.

I cap the motor output to 80%. Hover was around 14% which left the low end a little too sensitive for my likinf so i fly with 25% expo and center it around hover. this dramatically helps with throttle control around the hover point.

Here is onboard footage with some lens correction applied. Started to rain so I cut it early, prob had 50% battery remaining.

It's not being powered off of a 5v source, so I assume it isn't running the Avatar 1s vtx?

it is the 1s vtx. im powering it from 5v rail on my fc. no issues so far. (note: ive had issues powering it from 5v on a 1s quad when voltage got below 3.1, but that doesnt seem to be a concern on 3-4s)

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
