After about five years away from FPV, and a bit more spare time on my hands I thought I'd give building another quad a shot. FPV was always fun, but years ago I grew frustrated with having to spend quite a long time actually finding a space that was big enough and didn't have anyone around to fly, only to break something in the first couple flights. I was immediately interested in toothpicks as soon as I saw some on here, being small and light means I can fly them in smaller spots, all while disturbing less people and breaking less parts.

I decided to go with 5000kv and 3s because it appears to have the most ideal flight performance, and while I'm not a dedicated racer by any stretch, I want to have something that can keep up with some bigger quads when I do attend the occasional race. However, I'm VERY rusty on the sticks (see flying footage below), so I'm currently flying this rig on 2s to keep the speeds more manageable. Once I feel like I can handle the extra zest of more volts I'll upgrade :)

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
