I built this quad with the intention of chasing cars while carrying a GoPro Hero 11. I had chased cars with my previous 5'' but it was unable to keep up and perform the way I had hoped as it was still running 4s.
I spent about a week building this quad and nearly a month tuning it to stop the motors from melting after only 30 seconds to a minute of hovering. Eventually applied a Betaflight filter preset that drastically improved the motor temp and reduced motor noise when pitching and rolling. Although, I do think I need to fine tune the filtering to reduce it slightly.
This thing can carry a Hero 11 with no problem now and gets about 5 minutes of flight time with light freestyle flying. Only thing I would change is how I soldered the motor wires to the ESC. If I had thought of it at the time, I would have had the wires wrap around the stack mounts and get soldered underneath the ESC to make it look a little cleaner rather than having them stick out the sides.
