It's based off the darwinfpv babyape v2 frame, it's a lightweight 3 inch 3s quad.
This is just about as close as I could get to my dream build while keeping the budget reasonable.
It's also my first build and I learned a lot while building it.
The first modification the frame needed was to widen the motor holes to 2 mm and space them out 9 mm.
I mounted the vtx on the top plate since the holes there fit perfectly.
It didn't come with stack screws so I used my own, and I had to file down the front screw so the vtx could fit.
And the camera (caddx ant nano) had about 2 mm of room between the camera mount plates so I used a nylon nut as a spacer on one side.
That solved the issue but made the cam off center which really annoys me.
I used the jhemcu ghf411 40A aio board, I know that 40 amps is def an overkill but that never did anyone harm :)
The dry weight is 82 grams and all up is 120 grams.
Not as light as Kabaabs toothpicks but still pretty light.
All concluded I'm very happy with this build.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
