With this build I'm taking a big step towards smaller than 5, inch builds, and I also thought the frame looked a bit awkward, yet cool.

The process is a lot of figuring out if I'm going with 2 or 3S... currently I would love to stick to 2S, mainly because I have purchased a lot of these packs so far...but I'm not sure it'll be enough flight time and power for this size frame.

VTx, receiver and other parts all had to be pretty small, so I grabbed the smallest I could find and knew of (Zeus nano). Since this is just something small and portable for the local office park or occasional construction site, I'm not that big on range... I think 350mW will be plenty. For ELRS, the small ceramic antenna is just perfect, as it almost takes up no space.

At this point I'll shut up about price... it's just mind boggling to me how affordable these parts have become.

Motors are 4600kv, but the form didn't find the link.

The cable routing was a bit awkward, and the camera is probably way too large...I might change that in the future.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
