It was an idea that metal plate can be bent. So I started to design and build a 2' whoop frame using 1.5mm titanium sheet with laser cutting.
As a experiment project, the build process is fun and I found that titanium's physical spec can't compare carbon fiber plates in same weight. So It's hard to get rid of the lower frequency noise in this frame.
Though I'm happy with the result, it looks really cool and I have learnt a lot in this project. Here's the video of building process. Please leave a comment if you have any idea or question.

I would love to see some dvr, is the weigh terrible at this size? Short flight times? Hot motors? Gnarly jello?
The multilink construction really adds a LOT of fasteners, I would imagine a single plate would save a ton of weight and vibration. I would still do plastic ducts at this size, and I know that presents a problem, but I would cut ducts from conventionally available whoop frames, they are very cheap. The concept is very interesting, if you are in love with the multilink system, maybe welding? A little tab in slot and weld type thing might be great. Another thing you could do is a ti perimeter, held together with a tensioning system, maybe tpu filament? Maybe a thin braided metal cable. Would save a ton of weight with the right tensioning mechanism.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

You could cut it out of one piece, and still bend the same corner bumpers
Yes, but i just want to make it fun to build in form of a solomon's knot. The result turned not so good, And, I'm going to cut a one piece frame which will be much lighter and tougher.
That's cool
