This is an updated version of the AOS 5 O3 that I build late last year. Instead of the custom 3D printed camera mount this new frame has a built-in vibration dampener for the O3 camera. I also switched from a 2505 size motors to 2207, and there should be a noticable stator volume difference. I am curouse to see how these 2 very different motors perform.
OSD Problems Betaflight 4.4.X
Initially, I was planning to do a simple frame and motor swap, but I ran into an issue that I could not figure out. I ended up switching out the FC because I thought it was the UART that went bad. But I kind of knew it was not, I will go more into details later. So, the issue I was having was that the Betaflight OSD was not showing up through my DJI Goggles 2. I updated the firmware on the DJI O3 air unit and goggles. Then I reset all the settings on the air unit. Still, I could not get the OSD to show up. I did all the typical MSP switch and VTX (MSP + Displayport) in the ports tab with the correct UART. I also have the RX and TX soldered on correctly on the FC because it was working perfectly before. Then I switched the different OSD layouts and still nothing. I was getting annoyed and did not want to trouble shoot the problem anymore, so that is why I switched out the FC. Guess what, the new FC did not fix my problem, I still do not have OSD.
How I knew the problem was NOT the FC is because it was communicating with the air unit. The wiring is correct because it was working before, and how I knew it was communicating is because when I arm the quad, it was getting out of Low Power mode and Starts Recording. So, this would mean that something is wrong in Betaflight. To fix this problem I ended up using the OSD preset and BOOM, problem solved. It looks like there is a bug in BF4.4.x where it does not set the MSP displayport correctly, even if you selected the correct drop-down option. This is just speculation and I do not know the real cause of this problem.
This is the actual CLI commands needed for FC on UART 6
set osd_displayport_device = MSP
set vcd_video_system = HD
serial 5 131073 115200 57600 0 115200
Starting Tune and Rates
In the past the "SupaflyFPV Freestyle 5inch" preset on Betaflight has worked very well, so I will use it as my tune again. Make sure you pick the correction options for your setup, in my case I picked the "6s Lipo no HD Camera (1750 - 1950kv Motors)" and "RPM filtering - Unchecking for Dynamic Notch Filter Setup."
As for the rates, I like the "Joshua Bardwell rates" on Betaflight.
Preset Tune
Here is a quick screen shot of the PID Tune if you use the Betaflight Preset that I mentioned above.
This is the JB rates.
Finially here are the filter settings.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
