AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

I have a 4in freestyle build I wanna try to get under 250gr. It is 331gr now, running 2205 2300kv iflight motors, and a 5s 650 (gemfan triblade 4023). I wonder if I move down to 1404's like the ones you are running now, and move down to a 4s so I can hit ~245gr if that stator will be big enough. How powerful is it on that ultralight? If it's CRAZY powerfull I might try it, but otherwise imma try the 1604's
I'm planning to lower the kv on these to force some efficiency. Stock these have plenty of power for recovering from dive bombs. 1404's are not crazy powerful, but i'm rarely struggling to pull out of manuvers either
are you having short flight times? battery sag?
