Ok... I know should be slowing down with these builds, but a friend of mine said he used to build a ton until he switched to DJI...and since then only a couple. So I'm applying the same strategy here...not meaning I'll stop loving analog, just a nice DJI freestyle build would be cool.

So having used the Mark4 knock-off for my 7inch project gave me a good look and feel for that frame. I know it's not the most robust or stylish frame out there, but it's a good solid medium choice between weight, stiffness and somewhat an appealing appearance...also, I had some extra 3d prints for this frame.

Now having never worked with digital video, and in this case with DJI, I really didn't know what to expect. There are a few extra wires and the air unit is a bit bulky. Also the camera cable goes right into the unit, which when you place it in the back means the wire is going under your stack, and the connection from air unit to the FC goes out the back, which means those wires also have to be brought across...all things that make short wiring and tight and tidy builds the way I like em a bit harder...but hey, I like a challenge.

Also, kind of a side note here --> I've been experimenting with paint and I discovered a few new techniques to create interesting textures, layers and cool drippy effects. Also, I really love that crackle look when shooting on neon colors. I added a closer pic of the little drops on the base plate.

The name just endorses the glossy appearance...I like this color scheme...that can probably be expanded.

Just took this out for a flight and I love it. Digital video quality is ridiculous compared to analog, this is soooo much nicer. I'm still going to fly my audio stuff, just at different locations.

So it's been around two weeks that I've been flying and loving this setup and after smashing into a couple of metal structures due to either doing to much or not enough when trying to power loop... I totally pancaked the exposed capacitor. Paint job still looks nice which is surprising and the motors are pretty "zippy". So I decided to upgrade the 3D prints a little, adding some bumpers, switching the mount for the DJI air unit and also I switched the ESC around to hide the capacitor.

Let's see how that holds up.
