This is my first DJI build and I wanted it to look as clean as possible.
When I saw the new Flyfishrc and Flywoo parts, I knew I had to design a build around it. The white GOKU stack looks super nice and the 1804 motors have a lot of power.
This build was never intended to fit in the sub250g category. But weighing 198g dry I get very close to 250g on a GNB 550mAh with still 4-5 min flight time.
Where this quad really shines is on 4s 800-1000 mAh. Very nimble, powerful and equipped with diversity ELRS and a big GPS ready to get further out.
On a 3s LiIon it still flies decent and I get past the 10 minute mark. 20g less would surely help a lot, but I don't know what to sacrifice at this point. Maybe biblade props will do the trick.

I think the 4s is a good compromise on this machine. Is it on betaflight or INAV? I installed INAV on my FC while waiting to receive my O3 and the ATLAS frame.
I've seen that you're doing bigger drone as well. I wonder what the ideal size is for a drone enduring at a relatively high cruising speed.
I am now using 4s 18650 VTC6 and getting very good flight times. But most of the time I fly the quad with a GNB 930 mAh 4s Lipo for medium-range cinematic flights. Lipos are a much better fit for the 1804 motors. The quad is very agile and precise with it.
For long range flights, I have switched to a self-built 9-inch quad.
I like this frame too!
On my chimera4 with stock 1404 3800Kv I tried Molicel 4S 21700 P45B (64.8Wh/ 290gr) , yes it is so much but she flew! arround 22 minutes.
Now I'm using 4s Molicel P30B 18650 (43.2Wh/ 195gr)
It's more responsive, the flight time is slightly less but flight quality really increased, average of 19 minutes.
If you like your quad in 3s version and you are more interested by long range than freestyle, you might try the newest P50B from Molicel, very low impedence and twice the capacity of yours current GNB. ( 54Wh/ arround 215gr) or by a 3s pack made of P30B.
In both cases, the flight time will dramaticaly increase!
Thanks!
I know about the 1404's. I have the Flyfishrc 1404 on my 3 inch analog quad. They are great motors and 5.3g lighter than the 1804. So about 25g of weight saving would be no problem at all for anyone who is looking forward to build around the Atlas4 frame.
I just like the additional oomph from the 1804's and was hoping for flight times around 12-15 minutes. I will try bi-blades this week. If they add 2 more minutes I am quite happy.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Hi.
I received and assembled my ATLAS this week. I'm adjusting it and I have small vibrations/oscillations at many engine speeds in flight (50% to 80% I guess). I don't know which parameter to play on, P. I D?. I mount the yellow silicone, the black one is different? Thank you.
