Finally finished this supafly flipmini

Stephen was one of the first pilots I met. Back in 2017 I brought my very first build out on the field and it was a disaster as the dsm/spektrum receiver had a range of about 10 meters out in an open field. Stephen was there as well, testing one revision of his prototype syncmode. I got to handle it and still remember to this day the exquisite quality of carbon it was made up of. So much lighter and stiffer with delicious camfered edges.

After all these years, I finally bought one of his frames. Fate was sealed the moment the flipmini was announced. Finally a chance to experience Stephen's detailed custom tunes.

It took me way too long to find the proper target to this old fullspeedrc flight controller

I didn't want to solder under the board so I used the LED pad for RX2

Then after all that I discovered the inverted sbus pad is on the bottom so I had to solder onto the bottom in the end anyway.

I think the F411 may be too weak. I had to turn down the pid loop and overclock to 120mhz to reduce the dshot bidirectional error rate to zero. The cpu load sits at 55% at idle. kind of high. we'll see how it flies.
