3.5" rocket dragster quad built around the bottom plate of some random cinewhoop (cinelog 35) because i didn't feel like cutting a monoplate for something so simple. The bottom plate was dremeled to size. No landing gear. it arms with the motor shaft spinning on the ground hence the cardboard takeoff pad. I have to pump the throttle immediatly to get it off the ground since it is sliding all over the place like its on ice.
hit 134mph with the voltage hitting 2.0v per cell at full throttle at 150a! the battery got so hot it warped the print and puffed. this is kind of a glass cannon type build. biblade props would be better for speed. This build was more about maximum acceleration/power:weight. It hovers at near 0 throttle and is dead quite.
Weight was a bit over 260g (i forgot how much exactly). Had i used LW-PLA instead of PETG it would have been 2fiddy.
This was more a fun weekend build but inherently flawed and not suitable for speed. Its not as aerodynamic as it looks nor does it hit the speed where it would have mattered anyway.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
