Not really feeling like an upgrade.

Yes, its bigger, more powerful with 1604 motors but something doesn't feel right. Its fast, its efficient, its quiet, it has surprisingly good fling, but yet it isn't exciting. I did a lot of soul searching with this design to try and figure out what was amiss and I think it came down to two things.

(1) The motor prop combo using 1604 with 3.5x2.5x3 has a softer powerband and a mediocre top-end power delivery.
(2) After getting used to flying with the camera mounted low and further forward, the centralized mounting of the toothpick pickle pod makes this quad feel different to fly in a way that is less satisfactory for me.

So in closing, this design wasn't a keeper and I decided to rebuild it into a 3" configuration, which funny enough ended up being more exciting to fly.
