The brushed FPV drone is still alive and kicking :) .

I hope you enjoy this adaptation from a brushless Toothpick frame to a brushed one (8520), capable of fitting 48mm / 50mm propellers.
I was motivated to embark on this project because I had a ducted drone (ldarc tiny 8x) with poor outdoor performance, leading to my little "Frankenstein" being neglected.
A few days ago, I came across a model and decided to customize it to my needs. I scaled it down by 85% from its original size, added support for a 25x25 FC, and, naturally, space for the 8520 brushed motors.
The outcome couldn't have been better. It weighs 3 grams less, and the propellers perform better in airflow, not to mention it's quieter.
Moreover, the canopy has been adjusted to my needs, including support for the antenna to make it more resilient to inevitable accidents. I refrained from moving the antenna to avoid desoldering. My VTX and Camera are an all-in-one
25mW setup.
The list of items is simply for reference according to the things I had installed on the ducted frame.

I have purchased these propellers to see if the performance improves even more (I'm waiting for the order to arrive): https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005005149943433.html

Best regards.

Have to try 2S 1020 or 1023motors with 3" (75mm) propellers! Let's go to build it! :)

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
