Continuing my discovery journey - this is my first 7inch - I wanted an acro-capable quad, pretty much scaling up my 5" to see what all the fuss about those bigger quads was all about (I am still eye-ing an X-Class build in the near future).
I started with the standard 2806.5 (F90 T-Motor) but soon realised those did not provide the thrust I was after. I settled on the 3008's - which really improve the thrust/weight ratio. Flight time is in the acro range as expected (5mn or energetic flying with 2 x 1200 mAh) and behavior is now very close to my 5inch - you just need loads more space to play around ;)
I did a few flights with a Moonlight VTX/Camera - and while the scenic quality picture is undeniable, it is very sensitive to vibration and light level changes - as I do most of my flying doing acrobatics at sunset - I decided to switch to the Walksnail Pro as better suited (running the Pro on my 5inch too). I am planning a long range 7inch soon so will likely put the Moonlight in there instead - alongside those 2806 motors I have now sitting on the bench :D
Added those LED strips as I did on my 5inch - as usual Lee @ 3d-aqua (ebay UK) did a sterling job with those arm guards :)
AUW - 1.220 kg (with 2 x 1200 mAh)
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
