Nothing new idea, I did this like years ago, but I thought it's time to revisit the hardware:

  • The gimball is not a servo based one, it's a new product from astro rc. ( More below )
  • 8s config from neutron rc, I testing it for a while, I'm very satisfied with it so far.
  • O3 air unit.
  • The frame is an old crocodole 7" which is a very bad one, rezonates like hell, so I've cut an extra plate above the arms so it much better now. Also it can take bottom mounted batteries.

The gimball has it's on software, it doesn't use pwm output from the fc, it get's the TX signal from the receiver. It has a configurator software where you can see the remote channels, so you can configure anything as you want. It requiers some resonance dumbing, that's why it sits on the rubber balls.

The gps is a hglrc m10, which drove me crazy, the default directon points to the left, but they doesn't mention it in the description...

I'm very happy with the result, I will use it for a parachute project/contest for kids, which is really awesome if you ask me :D

It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
