AsboX - 3" 3s/4s

I built this to start learning freestyle on and it is practically indestructible.

This was my 2nd build from scratch and I followed the same 3" toothpick format on the heavier duty AsboX frame.

I run this on 3s and 4s batteries.

I selected the digital version of the AsboX frame, however the canopy only fits by being installed above the FC / VTX stack (the boards are too large to fit inside). The analog version has a smaller (shorter) canopy and might work better, but I have no complaints with how this turned out.

Do you have any problems with oscillations at higher thrust?

No problem with oscillations, its pretty smooth all around. When I was first testing with air mode disabled it would do a big yaw spin at the end of a high thrust/punch-out but enabling air mode fixed that.

I also built a 3 inch toothpick recently which flies fine on 2S but when I tried it on 3-4S, the drone flies straight up into the ceiling uncontrollable.

What kv motors are you using? You might need to set a motor output limit for higher voltages.

I have another toothpick TP3 build I fly on 2/3s. I used the same FC and similarly rated motors, but it is a much lighter frame. They both fly smoothly without any special configuration.

I would check for vibrations in the build and start fresh with the betaflight default tune/filters and see how it responds. Maybe try to lower the idle speed if it keeps accelerating on its own.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
