I know this should be green and maybe a tad yellow splash for jalapeno colors, I just thought of something mildly fun and spicy...I might change colors to match the name
So after buying several tiny and micro bind and flies (mobula 7, drashark...draknight)...I guess it wasn't that many...lol. I build my first 65mm whoop and found that a budget around 100 bucks can get you a tiny whoop that flies a million times better and is more durable than any recommended bind n fly solution out there. ok ok...I heard the mobula6 2024 with the HDzero basic for $150 is supposedly pretty nice...some people might disagree, some claim analog and a mobeetle 6 is the way to go...stay under 18grams...blah blah blah.
I'm just trying my own stuff here (ok.. admittedly it's a basic BetaFPV shopping list..but their stuff is pretty decent price quality wise..if you can't afford the newbeedrone and webleedFPV stuff). Big shout out to SpeziLover (lol... I used to drink that stuff too when I was a kid... German insider joke) and RiceBowl, definitely two very inspiring tiny whoop builders here on rotorbuilds. I also watch CiottiFPV, TrickyFPV and listen to some of their advice. I have to say though, the uncrowned king of extreme tiny whoop modifications has to be Mr Shutterbug. Absolutely insane 14gram 75mm whoop ...I think way back in 2021 or so. AngryDon has some cool stuff I probably forgot a bunch of influential tiny whoop pilots...but yeah, here goes another try at building something super light weight... using mainly BetaFPV parts, which I acknowledge is somewhat the median budget decision. I coulda pushed it with higher kv motors and even lighter stuff, buying newbee drone and other tiny whoop specific stuff...but I'm not the most experienced pilot yet, so this seems more appropriate to match my skills
I was a little surprised that the old Mobula7 canopy was lighter (by far) than my prints and other canopies I bought in the past.... haven't compared to angryDons super light print design yet, and for now I'll just use this one
So checking out different video transmitters I ended up on the BetaFPV one, as it wasn't much heavier than the FoxeeR nano or the TBS nano which I've used before and I have laying around. It is a bit crammed under that canopy, but overall I'm fairly happy with this build. Feels pretty snappy so far.
Thinking about one of rice_bowl's builds next....found a set on cncdrones

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
