Finally ended up with a Demibot...kinda knew this would be a frame to pick up. I know there are a couple more split deck designs that are similar in claims of durability...but all frames break at some point.
So for now this is my first HDZero freestyle rig (got a mob6 with Hdzero and I'm pretty impressed so far).
I hear what everyone is saying about range and penetration pretty much being like analog, but I'm willing to take the lesser range for better latency.
Trying out the hobbywing stack with this build...but the pre-fitted cap and power lead solution threw me off a little... I personally prefer 12 gauge wires for power leads, so I switched em out. Capacitor was fine, but the angle it came out of the ESC was a bit...hard to fit
Also... it's 4S for now, still not fully jumped on the 6S train. Got a couple o rigs on 6S, and I'm guessing for full size GoPro or other large action cameras this makes sense...figuring that most of my builds come in under or around 500g with battery I really don't see the need as I'm still getting between 3 and 6 minutes of average flight time, depending on how aggressive I fly and how fresh the pack is
Just pointing out that it's 4S cause finding the right motors in the parts list is a bit annoying

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Which sanding did you use before spraying the carbon?
oh, nice question...I go through a whole process when I sand. I used to just paint the slick carbon, but now I start with 150 grit paper and then slowly work my way up in steps of first 50, and then 100 to eventually end with these little sanding sponges I ordered from AliExpress. They work pretty good. I also sand if I get any runs or spots I don't like, and I noticed you can create some cool effects if you work in layers and then sand again. You can create these fades and also a worm look, usually exposing the edges first
But yeah, I do sand quite a bit these days. Always start rough and finish smooth. I got these patterns and I don't use a lot of pressure with the right grits
*worn look

*rough grit, lower pressure
...typo again 🙄
Thank you. I'll try that out and see what happens.
I've got an old BOTAFX I didn't sand enough and after a few impacts the paint chips off.
oh cool, that's actually a frame I've also been trying to find. I emailed the guys from BQE (no luck) and recently picked up a Bandolero. They also sold me some BotAFX top plates that fit my Bot5 frames, which is a life saver for those quads. I also posted all three of those here. You can find them if you look through my other builds...they are all painted...I know it's a bit nuts 😂
I dont't use my botafx. Do you want do buy it (location Germany near Mainz)?
Bofatfx, sprayed in blue, 1 additional arm (unpainted).

*styropor...typo🙄
Lonsheim neben Alzey, südlich von Mainz.
Passen 40€ ?
Ja, Alzey kenn ich. Bin teil meiner Jugend in der Nähe vom Lerchenberg aufgewachsen. 40€ passt
