My first attempt at a racing frame. Built 4-5 months ago
I wanted a really light weight quick 6s HD 5" drone.
Didnt want to go with the usual 2004 motors so I decided on 2006 Speedybee motors for a little extra power.
If I had to build it again I'd go with 2004 brotherhobby ultralites and save 32 grams.
It flys well

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Really cool build, I wish I could take her out for a spin!
Have you tried flying her on a lighter battery than that, that's a ton of unnecessary weight on an ultralight build...
10+ minutes of cruise time with these 1400s. It's my freestyle drone's heavy batteries, a lighter battery would be much better.
Trying a lighter battery and a higher prop pitch to see the difference in performance does sound interesting.
You would feel the lighter battery on the sticks, for sure!
