I've always flown either 5" quads or 65mm whoops with nothing in between, and I wanted something smaller that I could still fly outside. I also wanted to be able to reuse my whoop batteries, so this is what I came up with. These motors are really intended for a 1s 3" toothpick, so it's quite fast as a 2.5" 2s build. Flight times are about 3.5 minutes, but could be much longer if I flew slower. The vtx on the x12 board is incompatible with the steadyview vrx module in my goggles so I do unfortuntately have to use diversity mode instead of mix mode on the goggles. I initially built this with an xm+ reciever (and older camera) before switching to ELRS so that's why it's there in some of the build pictures. It flies best on the biblades but the triblades really look mean, like a sized down race quad. While my pictures have the triblades, I haven't been flying it like that.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
