This build was really challenging to do, because I wanted to keep it the most clean and compact as possible, staying under the 500g bar and... I succeed !
The PIDs will may be difficult to tune but it's a real little adventure :D

Killer setup. I'd love to see this done with 8 1407's. itd weigh a similar weight as 4 larger motors but might spin faster, plus their lower torque would be counteracted because there would be 2 motors per arm to handle divide strain between. It wouldnt have the same lifting capacity but it might be fast, who knows. It could just be an aweful idea, but itd be interesting to try it out on the off chance it works perfectly. There are 1407's that can put out 1000grams with 5 inch props and they only weigh about 15grams a piece. Just a thought! love your build btw! ive always wanted to build an x8.

Until recently GoPros were delegated to larger quads. A typical GoPro weighs around 125g and we've only recently begun to mount them on 3" cinewhoops. Even that is a stress on the motors. Now we've got the "GoPro Lite". Remove the battery, displays and casing and you're left with a small, lightweight board and sensor. Wrap it in protective TPU casing and you've got a 30g micro GoPro. The Hero6 is..

This guide will walk you through the process of building your first FPV quad. The goal with this design was to build a low-cost, lightweight quad, yet powerful enough to safely carry a GoPro in close proximity areas. I chose these parts to minimize the amount of soldering at no cost to the quality. A typical build requires around 30 solders while this only needs 25. It's not a huge difference, but..
