I went to chase some drift cars with the PavoPico and Pavo20. While I made it work I was absolutely abusing the batteries to make it happen. I was happy with 03 footage, and have been wanting to build a 3.5in quad for a while. I miss the 3inMLR and 4inMod-L builds, and feel like I never really gave those frames or builds a chance. So this 3.5in splits the difference.

Frame from CNCDrones, then printed all the parts myself. Running a naked 03 air unit, using the flywoo kit. For this setup I designed and printed a mount to clear the threaded inserts on the frame as well as level out the bottom surface of the naked 03. Ill post a link to the stl once I get it posted to my cults3d. I also drew up a pretty simple vertical antenna mount for a mini-mortal T.

This is the fourth 03 air unit Ive stripped down. This one is the only one thats every been troublesome. The coax cable connection on this build had a lot of extra glue and wasnt reconnecting well. Eventually I cleared enough old glue off to get the connector securely attached.

First flight: Stock BF 4.5.0 pid tune feels smooth. Maybe a little floaty, but overall good.

Im happy with this build. I want to get more stick time and maybe play with the tune a little, but overall I think Im good with this one.
