Is the 3d peinted hood worth it?
The hood is much worth it. It adds weight which is a bit serious to the weight of a tint whoop, but being ductless, the frame makes it respond a lot better than a traditional tiny whoop frame. The hood adds a lot of durability for the camera. I would suggest trying it without the hood and with the hood to feel things out.
Thanks! One more question. How durable is the pla frame?
It’s a lot less durable than a traditional frame, but people use it for its performance properties. The guy that designed it made a new one with a carbon infused print which never breaks though. It’s a bit heavier but I think it might still fly a lot different and better than a traditional frame.
I decided to order this from shapeways (pro 3d printing service). I am getting it in normal nylon. They wouldnt print the hood for me because they said the walls were too thin. Well, im gonna use a cam mount like the clear one in one of your pics.
