This is a mod for the HGLRC DRAKNIGHT O4, which was previously presented here. It uses the same setup, but I rotated all the electronics 180° on the frame. I removed the aluminum parts, screws, and TPU, making the new DRAKNIGHT lighter and super cute, like a flower!

With 2023 Gemfan + Nylon prop screws, the weight without the lipo is around 44 grams, and yes, I can feel the difference! The performance has greatly improved, and I can fly a little longer. The Meteor O4 canopy is incredibly light, and the dampening system is really efficient.

I also tried lighter props like the Gemfan 2009, and the flight performance is great (around 42 grams), but the downside is that the motor axles break easily if you hit concrete. The best solution is to pilot more carefully... or fly in a field or garden. Personally, I enjoy ripping it up in the backyard parking lot, and I’ve found that nylon screws combined with the Gemfan 2023 props are the best solution.

The XT30 connector is zip-tied to the frame, and the antenna is mounted on top with a pretty purple O-ring.
