This build is completly a result of my internet research. I don't have any experience.
It is my second DIY quadcopter (the first was FrankenSpider made with Tarantula X6 parts) and my first try with flashing Betaflight firmware.
I want it to be simple to build and that's why I choose FC and motors with sockets and plugs premounted (they are 1.0mm sockets, not the popular 1.25mm) - less soldering required.
FC Specs:
F3_EVO_BRUSHED Flight Controller Built-in Flysky 6CH PPM Receiver (AFHDS 2A Mode)
Dimension: 22mm*32.5mm
Thickness: 1.2mm
Weight: 3g
Coreless motor plug: SH1.0
Support work voltage: 7.0~8.4v (2S Lipo battery)
FLYSKY AFHDS 2A receiver configuration manual.

Most of the builds that I have seen work with 1S batteries, so I bought 2S FC just for curiosity.
The frame is just a recommendation from one of Banggood customers. Same with propellers.
I already own EF-01 AIO camera, so that's why it is in this build. I hope it will fit. It fits perfectly.
I like the socket on camera board and I will have to solder the plug with cable to the FC board, probably on BEEP+/GND or LED pads (both 5V, see connection diagram).
I'm planning to add a buzzer to the FC board.
I don't know yet which battery I will use.
I strongly recommend using Turnigy Nano-Tech batteries similar to those listed below. They are very good quality and you can buy them for low price at Hobbyking.
Because of those batteries I suggest you to solder the female JST connector with 20 AWG cable to the FC board. All those batteries come with male JST connector and 20 AWG cable.
Parts weight:
Frame: 12 g
FC: 3 g
4 motors = 21 g
Propellers: 1 g
AIO Camera: 6-8g (depends, with or without the shell)
Weight summary: 61-64g (depending on battery weight)
Batteries:
Turnigy nano-tech 300mah 2S 45~90C Lipo Pack 19g
Turnigy nano-tech 260mah 2S 35~70C Lipo Pack 16g
I will soon check the weight of each part by myself.60 g + battery may be too much and I will try to make it lighter
Edit: Final weight seems to be ok. It's 45g without battery.
I expect 30-35 g of thrust per motor. If not, then oops, I will have to change motors and/or propellers.
Edit2: I finished building.
Banggood sent me wrong set of spacers so I replaced them with nylon spacers. Of course Banggood refunded me for the whole frame - good service as always.
I flashed FC with the newest Betaflight and loaded settings linked above.
I tested it for few minutes indoor and outdoor. Everything seems fine and I'm impressed with its speed and acro mode. I mean I made some impressive crashes because it was my first time on acro mode. Now I can say that durability of this build seems to be ok.
It is time for more outdoor testing, still without FPV camera.
Weight with battery and without camera is 50g.
Weight with camera and battery is 61g.
You can cut the weight a little by shortening battery cables and removing those nylon spacers which I used as landing gear.
Check the photos.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
