My First Quadcopter. I had toy class before, but wanted to get into the FPV game. This is what I came up with.

Omnibus F4 V2 controlling MS Series 35A ESCs which power the RacerStar 2600kv motors. The ESCs were modified (a cap was removed) to enable DSHOT 600 because I didn't want to go through the hassle of calibrating motors. Eachine VTX and FlySky RX for the back-and-forths.

It originally had the RealAcc X210 canopy on top until I crashed it into a wooden thingamabob at the MultiGP race - which happened to be my 6th time flying. Thank Bowyer for 3d printers, because without it, i'd have just wrapped the whole thing in e-tape and called it a day. Instead, a bit of time in Fusion360 and a bit more time on the 3d printer in this "White Flexible" filament that I really like - it's a lot stiffer than some other TPU filaments I've tried.

Anyway, as my first copter, I figured it'd be getting bashed up pretty well anyway, and I'm surprised it's survived this long, but she lives on. As for the electronicals, only one replaced ESC so far, and my antenna is missing it's lid. Oh, and I lost a nut in the field, but I found it like a week later.

nice! Did you print the canopy yourself? other than no camera protection I really like the setup.

Indeed, and yeah the canopy could use a bit more bumper around the camera. I do have a replacement case and lenses for it, though, in case I do end up beating it up.

edit: You've inspired me, I'm currently printing a turtleneck canopy to enclose the lense. I also designed one to carry a Go Pro too. I'll put them on Thingiverse.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
