One of my very first quad builds... Its been re-designed probably 5-6 times before it's current incarnation. Looks pretty sharp if you ask me, fly's decent for something controlled by a Naza and as big as it is. It mostly just sits as a showpiece these days. The light bridge is actually great for something like this where latency isn't a big factor, range is about 3-4miles with a directional on the receiver end. It's amazing how cheap the V1 lightbridges are these days if your looking. And the ability to have both HD video & sbus control using a single device on a single frequency really is a wonderful thing. Runs better on 6s, and get longer flight times (~25mins w/6s 6000) but don't have a 6s that fits in the bay, so been using a 4s 6600 most the time. to run 6s, I'll strap a 2s 6000 random pack on the outside below the lipo bay and run them in series.

This thing looks great. How does it fly with such a large battery?

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
