Designed primarily as a vehicle for the Prosight HD FPV system. Anomaly Drones sells a series of frames designed for Prosight. Of those frames, the Mosqyto Raptorial seemed like the best choice for it's robust design and esthetics. The organic shape is interesting and unique. The thin arms necessitated a 4-in-1 ESC. I chose the Lumenier ESC for its current sensor. I selected the Lux V2 FC reasoning that this would minimize the possibility of any incompatibilities. Finally, I chose the Lumenier motors simply for consistency with the FC and ESC. From there I treated it like a puzzle, figuring out how best to mount and connect each part as I got to it. The hardest part was getting the spacing of the stack right. Three constraints, 1) height limited by frame design, 2) clearance for nut underneath stack, and 3) limited options for soft-mounting stand-offs, conspired to make assembling the stack the hardest part of the design.

Nice build. In building the stryder 5, I encountered the same problems with bobbins; found readymaderc has the shortest bobbins as well as 2.5mm nylon nuts, which I used under the esc. I actually had to use a belt sander to sand some of the solder blob for the battery lead in order to make clearance between the frame and the esc! Nice build, Larry. Anomaly hits it outta the park again.

Thanks Robert. It was worth the effort. this is a great flying quad. Anomaly Drones now has a lite weight version of this frame.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
