The Stick 4"

Lightweight 4" 1407 3600KV.

Maiden flight 7/1/17. Flies beautifully! Plenty of low end power. Not enough room in my yard to let it rip. Motors were hot, but changing motor timing from medium to medium high seems to have fixed that. Was able to turn d_lowpass_type to PT1 without getting them hot again.

Overall impression: Totally stoked!

Build note: I had to add plastic nuts on top of the blue aluminum spacers to give enough room to fit the X6B receiver. This made less room at the top of the stack. I couldn't use padded double stick tape to hold the VTX to the top plate, but thin target brand double stick tape and a zip tie seem to be working well enough.

7/22/17 Got KingKong 4045 biblades, retiring DAL J4045 triblades. Motors come down much cooler. Had to reduce D gains right off the bat. All thanks to @bahb on that tip!

On my Featherlight 4, I get away with DAL T4044, DAL TJ4045, and even HQ V1S 4x4.3x3 on BH 3600kV and RG 3200kV motors no problem, with no heat issues, with filtering off and stock BLHeli settings. It's odd to hear you're having heat issues, I wonder if the RG 3600kV are more prone to it than the BH...

In any case, 1407 4" is tons of fun, enjoy it!
