My first attempt at a two inch frame... So I can now fly with the rest of the bugs in my backyard jungle.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Hi! What KV did you choose for the motors? Btw 5400, 6500 and 7000? With 3s battery, 6500 is too high in your opinion?
Thanks for your feedback :-)
Sorry I missed your post. I'll be trying out the 6500kv on this build, and I hope that's not a bad combo on 3s. I'll should be finishing up the build tonight.... I hope it flies as nice as it looks.
Ok! Could you tell me if the motors are not too hot? I would like to build a similar build. I am wondering if high kv motors have a lack of torque and become very hot. Thanks!
Hi, I have been using the 6500kv motors on a 77g 3" on 3S. They do get hot sometimes but not super hot. I am sure they would do fine on any 2" build.
The motors are running a little warm, but I don't think it's anything to worry about. It's also has a bit of oscillation that I'll need to deal with. I have some 4 blade Germfans on order and I'm gonna try and find some soft-mount for 11xx motors before I do any thing else... this little guy is still fun to putt around the backyard with.

Nice build! I saw a video of a guy who soft mounted these motors with large o-rings and the result was amazing on both video and reactivity after u-turn. Congrats for all your builds!
By the way, does the OSD work with betaflight?
I haven't had the time to even think about that, but I guess that's something I do need to look into.
