It's floaty...very, very floaty!
Will swap to a linear antenna, also need to design a mount for a Mobius Mini to finish it off.
Also building with this frame was very awkward! Left enough wire spare to get the top out of the way, all tucked in behind the camera.
Nice build! I just made a thing which also has 2 levels of prop line (I have a questionable way with words...) and I found that its silent (also seems to be devoid of propwash in turns) but it hovers at an angle. The nature of my frame's split is different to yours so I was wondering if you had similar experiences.
I saw your build! Looks very weird and very awesome (I have a total soft spot for weird quads). I've only flown mine in Acro and FPV, so can't comment on neutral hover angle, but I have noticed the lack of propwash and it does seem very quiet - my Ragg-e uses the same props and 2600kv motors, but it screeches like an angry demon (much slower than this too).
I think somewhere down the line I will end up building a quad up sorta like yours, I imagine you get all the split level benefits but a much easier build.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Hi
I would like to build ma 1st quad with this frame.
Why do you choose 2600KV motors and not 2300KV: i ordered KINGKONG GT2205 2300KV motors
For the ESC what is the max current of yours ?
Regards.
the 2600kv motors will give a bit more speed and response while the 2300kv will benmore efficient. In reality for a 1st quad you will not notice any difference and the flight time difference will be not that drastic
