Beginner pilot, this the upgraded version of Uavfutures' $99 quad build.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. Going to pair this to a FlySky FS-I6s transmitter/receiver combo. Still looking into various batteries. Still have a ton of time on simulators before I even begin to think about taking this skyward. This will be my second quad, after a $40 "toy" quality Mavic Clone got me back into the hobby from a past history of flying fixed wing planes, and smaller RC Helis.
Looking forward to learning a bunch, repairing a bunch, and seeing where I go with this hobby!
Thanks for looking!
Get some infinity batteries, probably 4s 1500mah 70c. Joshua Bardwell recommends them. Also grab some dal cyclone 5045's. Those props you have will not be too efficient and are probably racing props. Have fun! Hope this helped!
Yeah, they're racing props. I basically just cloned the "upgraded" version of UAVfutures' "$99 racing quad build" vs. buying something like an Eachine Wizard x220. Many thanks for the battery suggestions and prop suggestions. I bought like 10 pair of the props listed in this build, so I'll go snag the ones you said to as well and use those first.
Thank you very much JC250, have a stellar day and happy flying!
