so this build uses the 2.5mm version of my first custom airframe the 'bubby cat XL'
this time though we have the new Emax baby Red Monsters in the 6000kv version, and the new HGRLC 28amp ESC board sandwiched to their all ready pretty badass F4 Fc with the new XJB TX20 Mini 5.8G 72CH 0/25mW/100mW/250mW VTX, who's other awesome feature other than a low 20x20 stack is that it has nearly half the current draw of the VXT03 units.. Using some spacergasm and a layer of TPU motor mounts chopped up i have the full stack coming in at 17.5mm. So the maiden this morning on 2s 550mAh infinities was surprising in that the KWAD only moved away from docile with more than 75% throttle.. its fast really fast but on low power settings its very user friendly but has a LOT of control authority, even on the black box the PID error trace recovers from a flip or a roll in a few hundred ms.. so for shits and giggles i popped a 3s 550 batt on and plugged in the watt meter, 35amps later 400w and a KWAD that was trying to tear its self from my hands... i now know where the BEAST lies.. the camera is waiting for my printed mount to arrive, not that it'll make much difference to the performance..

been flying FPV now and after a wee mishap that involved loosing the quad into a tree for 3 days and a nice big storm knocking it out i can saw these motors kill it on 3s and given the motor temp is pretty mild in excited to be given 4s a bit of a crack in the next few days..
also the TX20 a seriously good little unit that seems to produce much better video signal that the micro std VXT03
