K2 is an upgrade to Komodo to 4S batteries and 3.5" props. This one should scare me.
I designed and 3D-printed the top, which holds the vtx, camera, beeper, and antenna tubes. Three M2 screws and nuts hold it to the bottom frame.
Komodo's FC was good, but it couldn't handle 4S. The new FC comes with a nice LC filter to help clean up noise. I still have a big electrolytic capacitor on the power lines to help with spikes.
The fisheye from the Runcam Swift Micro was driving me crazy and it was just too big and heavy, so I switched it out for one of my old standbys. The new camera comes with a microphone, so I also upgraded the vtx to the version with audio.
update 1: yea, it's scaring me, but not in a good way. Having serious problems with the FC. Considering the company I bought it from doesn't have customer support, I may have to chuck it and buy another.
update 2: I didn't think that the FC could get any worse, but now it is randomly flipping the OSD layer off and on (with corresponding loss of frames when it does) and the audio has tons of noise. Definitely a bad purchase.
update 3: After more intense flickering of the OSD, I lost video and K2 took a dive into the rock solid dirt (record days without rain) and bent an arm. K2 is KO until it gets a new frame.
133 grams without battery and props.
Nice one! Do you have more pictures?
I'll take some more. In the meantime, you can look at my Komodo build for how the stack is put together.
