Frame:
When I started planning out this build there were several features I wanted in a FPV frame. A true X layout, fits 5 inch propellers, replaceable arms, compact body, top mounted battery, available frame fitted 3D parts, Runcam Swift mount and a reasonable price. The IQ Sport from FPV- Depot marks all of those check boxes.
FPV System:
The FPV System is what makes this hobby so unique so I wanted hardware I thought was going to give me the best experience. That's why I went with the Rotor Riot Runcam Swift 2 for my FPV cam and the TBS Unify Pro for my vtx.
The RR Swift 2 has AMAZING exposure handling, comes with a wide angle lense and the settings are already tuned for FPV.
The TBS Unify Pro is arguably the best vtx on the market and with features like SmartAudio it's a must have.
Flight System:
For the flight controller I went with the Betaflight F3 so I can run all of the latest Betaflight features.
For the ECS’s I'm running 25A TBS Bulletproof's. I got these from Kwadbox and I really like that they are made to run Dshot, no need to remove capacitors.
This is a freestyle build so it doesn't get much better then the efficiency and smoothness of the TBS Mr. Steele motors, plus they finally dropped in price.
The durability and efficiency of the HQ 4.3 V1S props pair up great with the Mr. Steele motors.
