So this is my first ever build. I bought my Taranis about 5 months ago and have been hammering the Sim pretty hard. I went with the Floss because its fairly disposable, with arms being $2 each. The 2205's should be pretty efficient, and with the CNHL 1300 70c, I should have plenty of flight time for a 2min race. I also chose to go with the Emax Magnum to simplify my build, being that I'm a beginner. I wanted to minimize problems from my beginner mistakes, and maximize stick time. the V1S props should work to start, and ill try out and find my preferred prop once I'm comfortable with my transition from Sim to real flight.
The build was honestly not bad! Some joints I redid when I was finished just because I Didn’t use quite enough solder and didn’t like how it looked. I also needed to extend my power leads to get it under my battery straps and out of my prop disk, not pictured.
So far, flying aggressively I’m not hitting more than 82a, and getting 3.5ish minutes. I fly pretty aggressively and these motors/props are perfect for someone transitioning from Sim to real flight, plenty of response, and on a light build plenty fast enough.

Just wanted to check in to see how you liked this build a few months in. I have gone through countless "standard beginner recommendation" Martian II build threads and I am starting to think lighter/more modern frame (like the Floss 2) with available spare parts would be a better beginner option for people who are will to spend a bit more up front to not outgrow the build as fast and immediately want to upgrade.
