I wanted to do a new fairly high end build, and as a primarily freestyle pilot, the new RR Hypetrain motors seemed like a perfect option. The Chameleon should be a really solid freestyle frame, and the RE1 on Betaflight should give top performance. The TBS receiver and transmitter should give top notch radio performance, and the 32 bit Dshot ESCs should help take advantage of the high performance FC. I may swap in some Lumenier AXII FPV antennas when I get some, but the Triumphs should be solid performers for now.
I love this build. I had the EXACT build in mind. Especially with those new slick looking RR Hypetrain motors. So how does it fly? I have the same build with the Lumenier Skitzo 2500kv and it flies smooth. Which I had a little more punch.
I just took it out for the first time today; haven't had the chance to properly tune it yet and I'm getting some oscillation under power, but other than that it flies really well. Plenty of power with the Hypetrains, though I think I may have gotten one dud; bearing was making some noise even on the first flight, and seemed to get worse after a couple of hard landings. They might be a bit much for my batteries; I was seeing 130A+ on full punchouts, and was dropping below 14V from the first one. I might try out some of the Adrenaline 1600s.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Sick! What lens are you using on that mini swift, and can you see the sides of the aluminum pieces with it sunken down in there?
2.3mm lens. I can see a bit of the aluminum pieces in the corners of the camera view, but it's not much. I didn't even really notice it until I went back and checked the DVR, to be honest.
