so this bad boy is a pure Multi GP 'micro' class racer.. frame is a basic stretched X that has been cut and in the post ,the weight of the carbon is 5.5g in 2mm base and 1mm top plate. designed for 2.4" props and a dry weight of 70g.. with over 1100grams of static thrust on 2s and around 110g AUW its going to be a weapon. i suspect 3s will also be a feasible option so the 28amp ESCs are going to be earning their keep.
this is my second build with the HGLRC tx20 vtx and i have to say the only improvement i would want is smart audio control of it through your OSD.. its tinny, needs only 3mm of clearance off the FC and draws as much current on 250mw as the vtx03 on 25wm.. so it runs a LOT cooler.. I've also found the quality of the signal to be a lot better
She flys nice but I don't have any big enough battery's to get any where near what it's capable out of the little beast. Infinity 550mah 2s batts last one and a half mins and sag really bad. Unfortunately the Tattus I need ( 650 and 850 ) are a month away and Bangers has stopped shipping to Australia so I can't get any of the 850mah GNBs either. Will be trying the rotorX 2535s out next then some cut down 3020s and 2840s to see what props really make this beast light up
Rev 2 is already under way with no sloting on the arms and a slimer arm profile. Will have to go to rev3 though as the battery lead holder is too close to the ESC stack and needs to be out on the rear arm to be of any use
Need to test some other cut down props but it's flying pretty good.!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
