I won a set of T-motor F40III 2750kv 'Lets Champion' special edition motors, and picked up an X-hover Win5 from a friend who got it on a quad box boost. I literally tore the insides out of my other Racer X build because I wanted to see how these fly. so FC/VTX/Receiver combo just got hot swapped. I'll add details below.

Edit 1: I've had the maiden flights + 4 batteries of a pid tune session, and in my opinion this prop/motor combo does work. it feels aaaaalmost as tight in corners as triblade cyclones but you really have to rev the throttle up a ton to keep a tight corner. not a super difficult motor to tune, but according to miniquadtestbench they also test closer to a true 2600. the emax 2750kv were a bitch to tune by comparison. having flown and tuned both I would take these any day. as an added bonus, these motors stay veeeery cool. I would call them luke warm after a full pack with a good pid tune. even when they had bad oscillations they were cool to the touch. All in all a solid motor.

I'm not sure this prop combo is for me. Might try a slightly lower pitch. it's fast enough staying below 80% throttle the entire flight.

final note: these motors are not soft mounted, but FC is. it was impossible to tune the emax without soft mounting motors.

edit: testing micro cam on here with TPU mounts, also added TPU gopro mount. surprisingly ESC did not burst into flames with this setup.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
