Jumping on the brushless micro bandwagon. The tabs on the bottom plate were cut off to accommodate a homemade velcro battery strap. Has plenty of punch on 2S, and could probably do 3S with less aggressive props. Too much power to fly indoors, but that hasn't stopped me from trying. The VTX is wired up for Betaflight's OSD and had the antenna swapped for a linear dipole. (And swapped for another linear dipole because liquid tape is not sufficient strain relief, as it turns out.)
I made an insert for my unused Fatshark case to hold the quad, batteries, and a few spare parts, so I can just throw the thing in a backpack.

can you link ur case please?:)
This one from eachine would work pretty well IMO

I really need to see about getting email notifications from this site. :/
The case I used was just the one that came with my Dominator goggles, I cut craft foam to size and hot glued the crap out of it with a good high temp gun. Any case about 4x6" will work for most any 2" quad, the one upshot to having to custom fabricate it is that you can make it fit any case exactly. You should be able to get this craft foam for about a buck per 12x18" sheet at most hobby stores, though the people at Michaels didn't know what I was talking about and acted like I was the dick for calling it by the name it's sold under, so fuck Michaels. :D
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

I really like your build and especially the price point. I was going to do this build for first micro as well. Is there any way I could get more shots of the wiring if you have them and where you got the case for it as well, or is that a modded fat shark case haha.
It's just a Fatshark case, but one of those 4x6" Tiny Whoop cases would work if you don't mind breaking out a razor and hot glue.
Space is super tight in there so it's not easy to get pictures. The ESC has a plug but I didn't use the matching FC so I had to direct solder the plug wires to the FC, there's a pinout in this PDF: http://files.banggood.com/2016/12/Minicube%204IN1%20ESC%20QUICK%20USER%20GUIDE%20V1.0.pdf
Apart from that, the wiring is pretty straightforward. The FC has power pads for 4 ESCs, so there's a lot of options for where to run power to the 4-in-1. Hope that helps. :)
